In October 2025, Lerro Photography hosted a special photo shoot at the Golden Age of Aviation Museum in Bethel, PA. The museum features an extraordinary collection of nearly two dozen aircraft that bring to life the pioneering eras of World War I aviation, barnstorming, airmail delivery, and the earliest days of commercial flight.

Our event included three distinct photo sessions: flying operations, reenactment scenes, and an illuminated night session.

  • Reenactment Sessions:Our reenactors portrayed WWI pilots along with both male and female civilian aviators, creating authentic scenes that captured the spirit and style of early aviation.
  • Flying Session:Six vintage aircraft—ranging from WWI fighter planes to 1910s-1920s civilian planes took to the sky, giving photographers incredible opportunities to capture these historic machines in action.
  • Night Session:Fourteen aircraft lined up for engine-run photos, and participants took turns lighting the aircraft with our LED setups to create dramatic, cinematic images.

The staff and volunteers at the Golden Age Air Museum went above and beyond to support our group, and we look forward to returning for future photo projects.
